Clearing seagoing vessels inwards and outwards in small ports
Clearing seagoing vessels through customs in small ports is subject to the following procedure.
A vessel due to arrive at the abovementioned first offices of entry receives a call reference number. You can telephone Customs/Rotterdam Maasvlakte, team BUU for the call reference number. Telephone number: (0181) 37 37 78. To receive a call reference number you have to state the following information:
- the port of arrival and the berth location
- the name of the ship
- the IMO number of the vessel
- the name of the agent or shipbroker
- the Customs number of the agent or the shipbroker
Three types of situations may occur:
- There is no cargo and also no victualling supplies on board above the statutory exemption. Furthermore, the vessel will not load victualling supplies and/or cargo in the Netherlands. The procedure then ends with the granting of the call reference number.
