Authorisation for processing under customs control

If you want to place goods under the procedure for processing under customs control, you will need an authorisation. Authorisations can be granted to the persons in the EU who perform the processing or have it performed. The application for the authorisation can be made in various ways:

The authorisation will specify the term within which the goods, having been placed under the processing under customs control procedure, should be re-released into free circulation or assigned a different customs-approved treatment or use.

Cross-border authorisation

You can also apply for a cross-border authorisation in respect of the procedure for processing under customs control. Further information about cross-border authorisations can be obtained from the Expertise Centre for Cross-Border Authorisations.
