General Customs Act
On 1 August 2008 the General Customs Act (Adw) came into force. The General Customs Act replaces a number of Acts, including the Customs Act.
The General Customs Act is the basis for all the work done by the Customs. The Act will offer a time-adapted, consistent and coherent entity of inspection powers and correction possibilities There will now be one single set of inspection powers the Customs may use, regardless of the inspection task being carried out at that particular moment The Act is based on European administrative law.
