Imports and exports of radioactive substances and nuclear materials

The import, export and transport of radioactive substances and nuclear materials are subject to strict rules. 

Transport of dangerous substances

Transporting dangerous substances is subject to national and international rules.

Environmentally hazardous substances

The Dutch Chemical Substances Act ('Wet milieugevaarlijke stoffen') lays down rules to protect humans and the environment against hazardous substances and preparations (including substances that deplete the ozone layer, cadmium-containing products, certain mineral oils, certain chemicals, fireworks).

Waste materials

Customs controls the international transport of waste substances.
