Is your parcel with customs?
Have you received a message saying that your parcel is with Customs or do you see this in Track & Trace? This is not the case.
Your parcel is handled by your delivery company, for example PostNL or DHL. If you want more information about the delivery of your parcel, please contact your courier.


When do Customs duties or VAT apply?
If you buy something online from outside the EU, you may have to pay customs duty or VAT. Whether you need to pay and how much depends on the type of product and its price.
Online purchases over €150 are always subject to customs duty and VAT.

Am I allowed to order cigarettes or tobacco goods online?
No, you are not allowed to order (electronic) cigarettes or tobacco products from webshops outside the Netherlands. Customs will seize the product if it does not have a Dutch excise stamp.

Customs seizes counterfeit products. This applies to all products that infringe on copyrights or trademarks. This rule is applicable to all products, such as clothing, bags, or perfume. The incurred costs cannot be refunded and the product will be destroyed.

Yes, it is possible to refuse your parcel. The parcel will be returned to the sender, but you have to pay the return costs.
