Our duties are laid down in European and national legislation and regulations.

We carry out enforcement duties for:

• the European Union
• the Ministry of Finance
• the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate
• the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management
• the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality
• the Ministry of Justice and Security
• the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports
• the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science

Dutch Customs also collaborate with the Dutch Coastguard. This is a unique partnership, carrying out both services and enforcement duties for various ministries.
